MopUPS P/R

tn_mopups-pr (2K)

MopUPS P/R Edition simplifies a wide range of complicated power management scenarios for managers of IT systems or building power systems.

MopUPS is UPS Management software that also provides fault messaging and safe server shutdown services. The P/R Edition of MopUPS is designed to serve applications with particularly high availability requirements that are powered by Parallel, Redundant, or other multi-module power systems.

License Packs for Target Applications

Class 1:

Facility Power Specialists who require a system for monitoring parallel UPS systems.

Class 2:

IT Specialists who need a power monitoring solution for Server Clusters in branch office locations with or without remote resource dependencies (NAS/SAN).

Class 3:

IT Specialists who need a power monitoring solution for Enterprise HQ or Campus applications with centralized or zone UPS resources, and tens or hundreds or host shutdown targets.

MopUPS P/R Edition monitors multiple UPS and mains supplies simultaneously. Power loading, autonomy estimates, and other measures are collected from individual modules and aggregated appropriately for series or parallel redundant systems as well as centralised or distributed parallel systems configured without redundancy. The special edition of MopUPS is able to analyse module-specific conditions and report situations that may impact redundancy or power margin.

The P/R Edition of MopUPS also serves as a central management console for multiple power systems in a facility, campus, or enterprise network environment.

The scope and flexibility of MopUPS P/R Edition includes a uniquely powerful event manager for systems with complicated inter-dependencies such as local server clusters dependent upon the availibility of remote database resources stored on SANs or other shared storage powered by separate UPS systems.

Features

Power Management
Centralized graphical view utility view MopUPS services and network shutdown agents on remote systems.

Easy navagation between Module, System, and Host level views provided convenient real time statue viewing for situational decision support.

Intuitive view utility charts power data graphically and sorts event history log entries by date/time, event origin, or event type for simplified trend analysis.

Remote Messages
Keeps you informed anywhere -- event messages are sent via network popup, pager, or email. You decide which events will trigger messages to specific recipients, and how the message will be sent.

Safe Network Shutdown
Networked computers on a shared power source often need a coordnated policy for emergency shutdown.

MopUPS provides several network-shutdown methodologies that give you flexibility, simplicity, and reliability to automate unattended emergency shutdowns.

Scalability
Network license mechanism lets you add licensed services as needed - add modules as needed, add systems as needed. Adjust system redundancy settings from N+0 to N+N. Manage multiple dependencies when servers depend on remote storage or other network infrastructure elements powered by separate UPS.

System Security
Username/Password, port selection, and IP Filtering options let you define the security level you need to secure remote access from the GUI or network shutdown service. Username and Password authentication uses 128bit MD5 encryption when these keys are passed over the network.
